I am lonely but, you can free me, all in the way that you smile!

Okay, so it's Radiohead (well, Thom and Jonny) doing Neil Young. (that still counts, right?)
Today we're taking our only child to college.
I woke up singing this song to myself and then learned that they played it last night at the Hollywood Bowl.

Let's just post the lyrics and enjoy!

"Tell Me Why"

Sailing heart-ships
thru broken harbors
Out on the waves in the night
Still the searcher
must ride the dark horse
Racing alone in his fright.
Tell me why, tell me why

Is it hard to make
arrangements with yourself,
When you're old enough to repay
but young enough to sell?

Tell me lies later,
come and see me
I'll be around for a while.
I am lonely but you can free me
All in the way that you smile
Tell me why, tell me why

Is it hard to make
arrangements with yourself,
When you're old enough to repay
but young enough to sell?

Tell me why, tell me why
Tell me why, tell me why

you don't mean it but it hurts like hell

my brain, says I'm in seething pain
a lack of oxygen
from my life support
my iron lung

Start listening to your heart.
Let it win the arguments over your head.
That's where happiness lies.
Our heads are filled with other people's ideas of how our lives should be.
Live your heart's dreams.
To your heart's content.

The headshrinkers, they want everything..

They can't get anything without your permission!
We choose to let it hurt.
We choose to be in pain.
Because we are taught that external circumstances can determine how we feel about ourselves.
They meant well.
But they were wrong.

there was nothing to fear and nothing to doubt

Jump into the river.
Go ahead.
"The river delights to lift us free, if only we dare to let go." (Richard Bach)

Trust in the flow of the universe.
Follow your bliss.
It's really okay.
It's not selfish to be happy.
It's selfless.
When you learn to be self-less, it's impossible to be selfish.. for we are all one.

There IS nothing to fear
There IS nothing to doubt.

lost in the mountains, rust in my brain

the air is sacred here
in spite of your claim

What you bring about you talk about.
We think that by "venting" and complaining we are releasing, but we are not.
We are bringing about more of the same.
Your word is your wand you know!

What are you claiming?
Listen to your words.
Look at your life.
Are you getting what you are claiming?

hey, hey, hey, this is only half way.
